WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY 9-24-14

ASK ME ABOUT...
...what I did in Spanish.

...what I did during Music.

NURSERY RHYME~
Today we read and discussed the nursery rhyme, "Mary Had A Little Lamb" (what fleece is, the rhyming words).  Children can put together and practice reading the nursery rhyme on the pocket chart in the Book Nook as seen in the photos below.

 FREE CHOICE LEARNING~
At the Alphabet Station, children can practice letter identification.  First, the child chooses a letter from a green basket and then colors it in on his/her paper.  This process continues until all of the letters have been identified and colored on the paper.  Children can choose to do upper or lower case letters.

Children use the large pattern blocks to create and continue shape and/or color patterns.

 EXTENDED DAY~

During Art today, children could choose from various activities including, painting, clay sculpting, KIDPIX on the computer, drawing with markers and using "fancy" scissors to cut paper and create a face mask.
