WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY 10-7-15

ASK ME ABOUT...
...the new greeting we did during Morning Meeting ("Jump In/Jump Out").
...where I went and what I did during Work Stations.
...what activity we can do at the Sensory Tub.
...the flubber we can use.
...what I did in Music/Drama.
...whose birthday we celebrated.
...the story, The Crayon Box That Talked.
...what "unique" means.
...the letter we decorated and what we used to decorate it.
FREE CHOICE LEARNING~
We added "flubber" to our Fine Motor Station.  The Pre-K students helped made the flubber yesterday during Extended Day Pre-K.

We opened our Sensory Tub today.  Inside of the tub are colored pellets.  Hidden in the pellets are random items--some are magnetic and some are not magnetic.  Using a magnet wand, children discover which objects are magnetic.

We decorated our letter "L" with ladybugs.
 COLORS~
We introduced our next unit of study with the book, The Crayon Box That Talked.  In the story, we learned and discussed what the word unique means.  During the next few weeks, we will be doing various activities to help us learn more about colors.
 OUTDOOR PLAY~
We had a few minutes for some fresh air and sunshine this morning before we went to Music/Drama.  Many children worked cooperatively to make a huge leaf pile!

 BIRTHDAY~
Today we helped Bella celebrate her October birthday.  Bella's mom read the story, The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything.  Then, we enjoyed eating sugar cookies with white frosting and sprinkles for Bella's birthday treat.  Happy Birthday, Bella!

EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
Today was a swimming day!
