MORNING MESSAGE~
On our Morning Message today, FANTASTIC was written in all upper case letters. We discussed that authors write this way when they want you to read something loud and excitedly. We also brainstormed words that begin with the /E/ sound like at the beginning of Ethan's name. Be sure to ask your child where he/she had to look to find the answer to the question on the Morning Message.
Today we started working in our Number Writing books--numbers 1 and 2. We learned a poem to help us write the number. We practiced writing the number in the sand and then with pencil in our number writing books.
Children were asked to think of 2 things that begin with the /D/ sound and draw pictures of each. Some children labeled their pictures using inventive spelling.
We decorated our letter "H" with hearts.
EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
The children put their artistic skills to work this afternoon in Art class. At the end of the afternoon, we headed to the gymnasium with the rest of the school for a pep rally to cheer on the Vikes for tonight's football game.
