ASK ME ABOUT...
...the new Work Stations we are doing.
...the new password.
...what we did in Music/Drama.
...what we did in Spanish.
...what I learned about Christopher Columbus.
...what we used to decorate our letter "T".
At the Creation Station, children create their own pumpkin/jack-o-lantern. After cutting out the pumpkin and decorating it, children can hang it anywhere in our classroom.
At Math Magic, children practice one-to-one correspondence (counting) by placing the correct number of leaf stickers on to the numbered bags.
At the Discovery Station, children explore various items to determine if they are magnetic.
At the Construction Zone, children work together to build/create a structure with plastic cups, cubes and wooden sticks.
Check out the teeth we taped on to the letter "T"!
WORK STATIONS~
Today we started a new round of Work Stations. At some of the Work Stations there is a "have-to" activity. When it is a child's turn to visit that Work Station, he/she must complete the "have-to" task. If there is no "have-to" task, then children can choose any task from their assigned Work Station. Children know if there is a "have-to" task at their assigned Work Station because there is a frog clip on the station sign in the pocket chart (see photos below).
