ASK ME ABOUT...
...what we did at Assembly.
...what book Mrs. Arner read to us at the library.
...what book I checked out from the library.
...what I did in my letter group.
...where I went and what I did for Work Stations.
In Mrs. Spolter's letter group, children played the "silly name game". Children had a turn to choose letter from the mystery bag and then had to use that letter's sound as the beginning sound of their name. For example, Sally would become "Gally" if she chose the letter "g". We also did a sound discrimination activity on the SMARTBoard.
In Mrs. Crain and Mrs. "B"'s group, children reviewed the consonant letter sounds and also used wipe-off boards and markers to write down the letter of a given sound.
In Ms. Hansen's group, children played a game to reinforce upper and lower case letter recognition.
We were Gardeners today during Extended Day Pre-K. First, we read the story, My Garden, and watched a video of a flower growing and blooming. We then headed outside to plant daffodil bulbs on our Pre-K playground. We can't wait to see our daffodils in the Spring!!!!
