ASK ME ABOUT...
...what I did in Spanish.
...what I learned about my classmates' families.
...what we used and did during the reading of Me Too!
...the story, Families, Families, Families!
CALENDAR~
Today we started our calendar activities. We talked about the name of the month, the day of the week, and the year. We also took time to discuss the various happenings during the month of September.
Part of our calendar activities was checking and recording today's weather. We will continue to check and record the weather daily. We will then interpret our data from the weather graph.
FAMILY~
Today we read the story pictured below about how many different ways families are made up. Following the story, each child decorated a frame for his/her own family photo. We will post these framed family photos in our classroom for the entire school year.
FREE CHOICE LEARNING~
STORY~
We reread the big book Me Too! today. As the story was retold, the children participated with signs that said, "Me Too!".
LIBRARY BOOKS~
When your child is ready to return his/her library book, he/she can take it out of his/her backpack and then place it in our special bin for library books.
EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
Today was Discovery in EDP. First, the experiment was explained--to add raisins to a clear cup of Sprite-- and observe what happens. Before we did the experiment, children had the opportunity to make predictions about what would happen. Be sure to ask your child what he/she observed.
