 CLASS RULES~
We read a story today about what can happen/does happen when rules are not followed.  We then discussed why rules are important and asked the children what rules we should have in our classroom in order to learn and play safely.
The children thought of the following rules.......
We will "condense" these rules into 3 simple rules that are easy to remember.  Stay tuned!

 EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
This week we started a new routine task during Rest Time.  Each day, a child's name is chosen to be the person who gets to rest in the upstairs part (the loft) of the Dramatic Play Station!  The person chosen also gets to select the story we read before Rest and chooses what is listened to during Rest--music or stories.  Today was Nathan's turn to rest in the "loft".

Discovery Day!
Today was our day to be scientists during Extended Day Pre-K!  First, we read the story,
Have You Seen Trees?.  Next, we went outside and "adopted" a tree that is named, "Oaky".
We will visit and observe the tree throughout the school year to discuss the changes we notice.
