WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY 9-9-15

ASK ME ABOUT...
...who the Friendly Frog was today.
...the family flag I made today.
...the story, Who's In My Family?
...what I did in P.E.
...meeting the school nurses.
...the new seat we can use in our class!
...how many boys are in our class.
...how many girls are in our class.

MORNING MESSAGE~
Mrs. B. showed us how many words were in each of the sentences in our morning message.
 FAMILY~
Today we read another story about families.  Then, during Free Choice time, each child made his/her own family flag symbolizing how many people are in his/her family, siblings in the family and pets in the family.

 FREE CHOICE LEARNING~
At the Alphabet Station, children can form upper case letters using 4 different kinds of wooden pieces--big lines, little lines, big curves and small curves.

Also available at the Alphabet Station is a puzzle that one can put together by ordering lower case letters.
Milk is now being offered at Snack and the children serve themselves!

 SCHOOL FAMILY~
Today we traveled to the Nurse's Office to meet our 2 school nurses--Mrs. Hoagland and Mrs. Fireman.

 BOY/GIRL GRAPH~
Today, each child colored in a blank "child" to make it look like himself/herself.  We then sorted the finished children into 2 groups to determine how many girls and how many boys are in the class.  Be sure to ask your child which group had the most!

Pictured below is one of the new seating options children can use during Free Choice time.
 EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
Today was a Cooking Day!  Children helped add and mix the ingredients to make granola bars.  They were very tasty at our afternoon snack!
