~NEW WORK STATIONS~
Today we introduced 7 new work stations. Below are photos and descriptions of the new stations.
Today we introduced 7 new work stations. Below are photos and descriptions of the new stations.
At the Fine Motor Station, children peel off stickers and place them on the lines of the snowflake.
At the Creation Station, children cut out the 6 pictures in below's photo and then glue them in the correct sequential order.
In the Book Nook, children put together the poem, "I'm A Little Snowman".
At the Alphabet Station, some children are going on a search for lower case letters posted around the classroom. Once they locate the letter, children highlight it on their recording sheet.
Children can even wear a pair of frog glasses to help them in their search!
Some children will do a "Write the Room" activity at the Alphabet Station. They will go on a word search and record their answers on the sheet pictured below.
At Games Galore, children play a rhyming "Go Fish" game.
At Math Magic, children cut apart numbers (ten at a time) and glue them order on to another strip of paper. We are asking the children to do this number line through number 30 with the option of continuing on to 100. For children who choose to go to 100, they will bring home a special note filled with activities to do with their number line. Children do not have to complete their number line in one day.
~HANDWRITING~
Today children learned the correct way to write letter "H". Ask your child to show you how to write it!
