TERRIFIC TUESDAY 2-25-14

ASK ME ABOUT...
...what I did in Spanish.
...the Dr. Seuss story I heard today.
...the model I made of the Earth, the Moon, and the Sun.
...our new "Star of the Week"!

FREE CHOICE LEARNING~
Willa and Sophia work together on math tasks--ordering numbers from 0 to 20 and counting stars.

Our Dramatic Play Station now has a space shuttle and astronaut suits!  We are ready to blast off!

Morgan works on a rhyming task at the Alphabet Station.
Noah works on creating patterns with Outer Space objects.

Laken exercises his spatial reasoning skills with the geoboard.

 DR. SEUSS~
In preparation for "Read Across America" and Dr. Seuss' birthday next Monday, we will read various Dr. Seuss stories this week.  Today, Ms. Schroeder read us, Green Eggs and Ham.

 STAR OF THE WEEK~
Jean-Luc is our new "Star of the Week"!  Today we learned that Jean-Luc's favorite dessert is popsicles, favorite colors are red and blue, and favorite restaurant is The Rusty Bucket.  Jean-Luc also shared photos with us.  We enjoyed getting to know you better, Jean-Luc!

 OUTER SPACE~
Maya shares her observations of last night's moon in the moon journal.

We read a simple book about the Solar System.
We each made a "model" of the Moon, the Earth, and the Sun to assist us in understanding how the Earth spins, the Earth travels around the Sun, and the Moon travels around the Earth.  Be sure to ask your child to share his/her model with you and sing the song we've been learning!
