NEW WORK STATIONS~
Today we started a new round of work stations. We also introduced "have-to" tasks at some of the work stations. Children know if there is a "have-to" task as it is a tray/basket/container marked with a small frog. This reminds the children that they must complete that task at the station before choosing another task. When they complete the task, children turn in their work in a tray with a large frog. (See photos below.)
Here are the "have-to" activities for this rotation....
At Math Magic, children complete each ten-frame according to the number shown on the apple.
At the Fine Motor Station, children are to complete the cutting sheets pictured below.
At Games Galore, children play a classmate memory game.
At the Writing Station, children practice writing the passwords we have learned so far.
First, the child chooses a password from the Word Wall.
The child then writes each password three times, using three different types of writing tools.
STAR OF THE WEEK~
Harper is our "Star of the Week"! Some of Harper's favorite things include: California Pizza Kitchen (favorite restaurant); cookies and cream ice cream (favorite dessert); and the Disney store (favorite place to visit). Harper shared her photos with us and also a Lego castle that she built. Thank you for helping us get to know you better, Harper!
