FREE CHOICE LEARNING~
Check out some of the new activities offered during Free Choice time....

Nate and Emily drawing with colored chalk on black paper.
Noah and Vivan show the faces they made using playdough and face parts.

At Math Magic, children can roll the dice; count or add the dots; and color in the corresponding number on their paper.

Laken exercises his fine motor skills and weaves a spider web at the Fine Motor Station.

Kyndal and Brett explore and examine what happens when they use an eyedropper to add colored vinegar to baking soda at the Sensory Tub.
Willa counts the pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns in the counting basket.
Willa and Nate discover there are 99 pumpkins in the counting basket.
Children can exercise their fine motor skills by digging for spiders in a container of rice.  Once they find a spider, children must shake the slotted spoon to get rid of the rice so that the spider is left on the spoon.

At the Discovery Station, Carsyn and Emily are sorting spiders that are different colors and different sizes.
 BOOK FAIR!~
Emily's mom visited us today and brought some samples of books being sold at the Book Fair.  The children are very excited about the books they saw today.
 HANDWRITING~
Children worked on making squares in their handwriting books, emphasizing drawing lines from top to bottom and right to left.  Before making them in their books, children practiced making squares with wooden pieces.
