~HANDWRITING~
Today we learned how to write the upper case letters, "G" and "S".
~OUTER SPACE~
Since we have been learning about the moon, we decided to read the popular children's book, Goodnight Moon. After reading it, children shared to what or whom they say goodnight. We are going to use their ideas in our own class book called Goodnight Moon.
We also read a story about the nursery rhyme, "Hey Diddle Diddle". Be sure to ask your child how the cow, Cindy Moo, thought she jumped over the moon.
~FREE CHOICE LEARNING~
Decorating bags for collecting our Valentines.
Chi-Chi builds a 3-D structure in the Construction Zone with magnatiles.
Nathan, Lauren and Bella tear pieces of red, yellow and orange paper for a special activity we will do later this week.
~STAR OF THE WEEK~
Lauren is our new Star of the Week! We learned that Lauren's favorite things include: pink (favorite color); North Dakota (favorite place to visit); and gymnastics (favorite activity). Lauren also shared a jewelry box given to her by her dad that is special to her. We enjoyed getting to know you better, Lauren!
~EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
Today was a Discovery Day! First, we read the Dr. Seuss story, Oobleck. Then, we made our own ooblect using corn starch and water. We mixed the oobleck together with our hands and tried to determine if the mixture was a solid or a liquid. We will revisit this experiment on Thursday.
