FANTASTIC FRIDAY 12-4-15

ASK ME ABOUT...
...what we did at Assembly.
...what story Mrs. Arner read to us at the library.
...what book I checked out from the library.
...how many days we've been in school.
...what we did to celebrate Zero the Hero Day.
...where I went and what I did for Work Stations.
...whose birthday we celebrated.
...showing you how I can count by 10's to 70.

~ZERO THE HERO DAY~
Today was our 70th day of school!  Unfortunately, Zero the Hero couldn't visit us today but he did leave us a note!  To help us celebrate, Max's parents brought in small canvas bags to decorate the markers.  Be sure to ask your child where the "zeroes" are in the bag.  Thank you for helping us celebrate!

 ~BIRTHDAY~
Today we helped Max celebrate his December birthday.  Max's mom read the story, I Really Like Slop!  We then enjoyed eating fruit kabobs with Max's favorite fruits.  Happy Birthday, Max!

We continued our lesson on transparent, translucent and opaque objects.  Today we discussed the characteristics of what makes an object translucent.  To review what we have learned, the children were provided with 3 different materials and asked to identify each as translucent, transparent or opaque.
