"LITTLE MISS MUFFET"~
During Free Choice, children can act out the nursery rhyme, "Little Miss Muffet".
(or "Little Mister Muffet".)
Anna works on forming the letters at the Alphabet Station using Wikki sticks.
At the Fine Motor Station, Mitch and Gabriel build with tiny Legos.
Anna and Spencer were busy building in the Construction Zone today.
Graham filled in numbers 1 through 100 on the number board, using number tiles.
HANDWRITING~
Children learned and practiced writing letter "C" today.
COLORS~
Yesterday we read about prisms in our book about rainbows. Today, children took turns looking for the rainbow in the prism.
LETTER SOUNDS~
Today we did a lesson on the letter sound /L/. We then decorated the letter "L" with letters!
DIVALI~
Rubina's mom visited our class today to share about celebrating the holiday of Divali. She shared information about the holiday with books, pictures, clothing, jewelry and diyas. The diyas are special lamps that are lit during Diwali. Your child brought home a diya today to decorate and keep. Thank you for teaching us more about Divali!
EXTENDED DAY~
After lunch, we went to visit our tree and noticed it looks a little different than last time. There are hardly any leaves left on the tree. The leaves that are still on the tree are green but turning yellow. We all predicted that the next time we visit the tree, there will be no leaves on it!
EMPATHY TRAINING~
Today we discussed appropriate ways to ask to use/play with something that another child is using. The children did a great job brainstorming ideas! We encouraged the children to use these ideas during Free Choice time here at school.
