ART CLASS WITH MR. CICETTI~
Today we visited the Art Room for a special lesson/activity with Mr. Cicetti. Using books illustrated by Eric Carle and a video interviewing Eric Carle, children learned how Mr. Carle uses color and design to do the illustrations in his books.
Next, Mr. Cicetti demonstrated how Eric Carle does some of his work and then the children had the opportunity to do it! The painting we did today will go toward a large picture that will be raffled off at the Academy Spring Gala. Stay tuned!
Twister was the game played in Spanish today to review color words and the names for foot and hand in Spanish!
We read a new Mo Willems book today! Be sure to ask your child to share with you what happened in this story!
EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
Since we had Art with Mr. Cicetti this morning, we decided to give him a break this afternoon! Instead, we played a number game with a 1-30 number line. Children practiced the recognition of numbers 1 through 30.
