Today we played a game at Morning Meeting to review the stages of the butterfly life cycle.
~What are the 4 stages of a butterfly's life?
~What is the first thing a caterpillar eats when it hatches from the egg?
...What happens to a caterpillar's skin when it grows?
...Can a butterfly use its wings when it first comes out of a chrysalis? Why?
...Where does a butterfly go when it begins to fly? Why?
Today we reviewed and practiced writing letters D, P, B and R.
The children look forward to and are enjoying our daily reading of Charlotte's Web. We do this reading at the end of the morning before Closing Meeting.
~EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
Since the weather forecast is calling for rain, we decided to do a "muddy" cooking activity today. First, we read the story, Mudkin. Next, we added and mixed ingredients to make mud puddle cookies.
