WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY 11-11-15

ASK ME ABOUT...
...what we did with our 2nd grade buddies.
...what we did in Spanish.
...the 2 veterans that visited us.
...where I went and what I did for Work Stations.
COLORS~
Today we got together with our 2nd grade buddies to do a color flip book.  Pre-K children did the illustrations and their buddies wrote the words.  These books are displayed on the bulletin board outside of our classroom.  Please take a look at them when you are here for conferences.

VETERANS' DAY~
To learn more about veterans, we invited 2 veterans, who currently work at our school, to talk with us.  Mr. Olexio, Assistant Head of School, and Mr. Gillman, who works in our Facilities Department, shared their jobs in the Army and Air Force with us.

We graphed all the Veterans who are members of our families.

CLASS BOOK~
Our class book, The Day The Crayons Quit!, is published!  We will leave it on the table outside of our classroom for you to enjoy at conferences.
WORK STATION~
We have one more Work Station that we forgot to post yesterday.  At the Writing Station, some children will practice writing the passwords we have had so far.
Some children will write the words (using sight word knowledge or inventive spelling) for the pictures they see on the pages below.
FREE CHOICE LEARNING~
Camille and Samantha work cooperatively to put together a floor puzzle.

 EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
Today was a Discovery Day and we went outside to visit our tree, Oakie.  We discovered that Oakie has very few leaves remaining.  We also saw some new branches and buds on the branches.  Winter is coming!
