At Math Magic, children exercise their spatial reasoning skills using cubes to build different structures they see on a card. Each card gets progressively more challenging.
Children continue to practice writing their numbers using the poems they learned.
We decorated our letter "S" with smiley face stickers!
We read a book about Veterans' Day and tomorrow we will hear from a Veteran who works at Academy.
NEW WORK STATIONS~
Today we started a new set of Work Stations. Below are the "have-to" activities at some of the Work Stations.
At the Discovery Station, children complete the page below to show what they know about mixing primary colors to create secondary colors.
At the Overhead Station, children play "Connect Four" by reading numbers or by reading color words. The first player to get 4 in a row wins!At Math Magic, children exercise their spatial reasoning skills using cubes to build different structures they see on a card. LETTER GROUPS~
Today we had Letter Groups. Be sure to ask your child what he/she did in his/her Letter Group.
EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
Today was a Cooking Day! First, we read the story, Green Eggs and Ham. Next, we made our own green eggs and served them with ham or turkey. Most of the student gave the green eggs a "thumbs up"! Sorry there aren't more photos from today's cooking activity. It's challenging trying to assist children breaking eggs and trying to take photos at the same time!
