ASK ME ABOUT...
...what I did in P.E. (Mrs. Adams told us we can practice it at home, too!)
...how many days we've been in school.
...what we did to celebrate Zero the Hero Day!
...where I went and what I did for Work Stations.
...what letters I learned and practiced writing.
...what sound we discussed today.
...what object we glued on the "CH".
...the story, Oh How I Wished I Could Read!
...my "We can read!" homework.
HANDWRITING~
Check out the letters we practiced making and writing today!
LETTER SOUNDS~
Today we introduced the /CH/ sound! We glued checkers on the "CH". Be sure to ask your child what other things begin with the /CH/ sound!
FREE CHOICE LEARNING~
We added materials to our "snow" playdough so the children can create playdough snowmen.
Margo put all the number tiles, 1 through 100, in the template all by herself! She even counted to 100 when she was finished!
WE CAN READ!~
Today we read a story called, Oh How I Wished I Could Read! Then, the children were shown some labels from familiar stores and food to prove that they can read! We then explained a reading homework activity that will continue throughout the rest of the school year. Please refer to the note that came home in your child's folder today.
ZERO THE HERO!~
Today was our 90th day of school! (The children are VERY excited that the next Zero the Hero Day is 100!!) Graham's mom and sister helped us celebrate by bringing in materials for us to make a Valentine's Day wreath. Thank you for helping us celebrate! Happy 90th Day of School, Pre-K!
Today was a Cooking Day and we made banana chips! The children peeled and sliced a banana and then dipped each slice into lemon juice (which was fresh-squeezed by the children). The banana chips were then put into the oven and had to bake for 3 hours! So, we will have them tomorrow morning for snack!
