Today we helped Margo celebrate her July birthday a little early. Margo's mom read the story, Freckleface Strawberry and we then enjoyed eating YUMMY homemade chocolate chip cookies. Happy Birthday, Margo!
LIFE CYCLE OF A BUTTERFLY~
Today we used a long straw, pretending it was a proboscis (a butterfly's tongue), to drink our juice/water at snack.
BUDDIES~
We were planning to take a walk/hike through the woods with our second grade buddies this morning. Unfortunately, a tornado drill interrupted our plans. Following the tornado drill, we headed out for some playground fun with our buddies!
SCIENCE EXPERIMENT~
We did the perfect science experiment today for Outdoor Week. It was a melting ice cube experiment. Children took turns rolling a die which then showed them which of 6 acts they had to do to help their ice cube to melt. Children continued rolling the die until their ice cubes were melted!
Today we did a cooking activity outside! We made homemade ice cream. This was a fun treat to make and eat!
