...what letters I learned and practiced writing today.
...what letter sound we practiced today.
...what we used to decorate the letter "J".
...the friends who have shared their photos with candles.
...the story, Mix It Up.
...the ice cube experiment we are going to do tomorrow on Color Day.
...what color shirt I want to wear for Color Day.
 MORNING MESSAGE~
Ask your child to tell you an easy way to count the frogs on the ten frames!

 LETTER SOUND~
Today we introduced the /J/ sound and reviewed all of the letter sounds we have done so far.
We decorated the "J" with jingle bells.

HANDWRITING~
Children learned and practiced making the letters "B" and "P" today in their handwriting books.

 COLORS~
To help us get ready for Color Day tomorrow, we read a story called, Mix It Up!  Next, we prepared for and discussed an experiment we will do tomorrow on Color Day.  We added food coloring to an ice cube tray filled with water.  We then put the ice cube tray into the freezer.  Tomorrow morning, we will take out the ice cubes and conduct our experiment.  Stay tuned!

 EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
Today was a cooking day and we made matzoh ball soup!  Children helped fill a large pot with water; add seasoning to the water; mix together the matzoh; and rolled the matzoh into balls.
Since we made soup today, we read a funny story called Duck Soup.
