FANTASTIC FRIDAY 11-1-13

ASK ME ABOUT...
...the greeting we did in French this morning.
...the name of the new month!
...where I went and what I did for Work Stations.
...what I made in Spanish--it's called a calaca.
...how many days we've been in school.
...what we did to celebrate Zero the Hero Day!
...what we did with our 2nd grade buddies.
...our new "Star of the Week"!

STAR OF THE WEEK~
Our new Star of the Week is Berkeley!   We learned that Berkeley's favorite things include:  chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream (dessert);  Chicago (place to visit); and blue and green (colors).  Thank you for helping us learn more about you Berkeley!

 COLORS~
Today we met with our 2nd grade buddies and did a color book.  The Pre-K children drew the pictures and their buddies wrote the words.  These are displayed on the bulletin board outside of our classroom.
SPANISH~
In today's Spanish class, children continued learning about the Mexican holiday/celebration, "Day of the Dead".  Children made their own calacas!

 ZERO THE HERO~
Today we celebrated our 50th day of school.  We are half-way to 100!  Sophia's mom and grandmother came in to help us celebrate.  We made door decorations.  Thank you for a fun activity!
