We took out our colored ice cubes and watched them melt throughout the morning.  We ran out of time to check on them at the end of the morning.  We will do this tomorrow!
Our story for Color Day was about a child who imagined what he would do if he had his own rainbow!

Check out our rainbow cupcakes for Color Day snack!

The water from our water jug was green!
We had blue milk to drink!

We graphed Skittles candies to discover how many we had of each color.  Be sure to ask your child to show you his/her graph and share with you which color had the most, which color had the least and if any colors were equal!

STAR OF THE WEEK~
Our new "Star of the Week" is Rubina!  We learned that Rubina's favorite things include:  pink and purple (favorite colors); cake with pink frosting (favorite dessert); and the beach (favorite place to visit).  We enjoyed learning more about you today, Rubina!

 COLORS~
To help us get ready for Color Day tomorrow, we read a story called, Mix It Up!  Next, we prepared for and discussed an experiment we will do tomorrow on Color Day.  We added food coloring to an ice cube tray filled with water.  We then put the ice cube tray into the freezer.  Tomorrow morning, we will take out the ice cubes and conduct our experiment.  Stay tuned!

 EXTENDED DAY PRE-K~
Today was a cooking day and we made matzoh ball soup!  Children helped fill a large pot with water; add seasoning to the water; mix together the matzoh; and rolled the matzoh into balls.
Since we made soup today, we read a funny story called Duck Soup.
