~FREE CHOICE LEARNING~
Today we introduced many new activities to do during Free Choice time...
At the Writing Station, children can practice writing numbers.
At the Alphabet Station, children can spell 3-letter words and hear the sound of each letter in the word. This was a very popular activity.
A new puzzle is available at Math Magic that requires detailed spatial reasoning!
A new game--called "Blast Off" is available at the Discovery Station. This is the Outer Space version of "Go Fish".
We had some very busy authors today at the Writing Station.
We had many busy artists at the Creation Station.
Alex tries out one of our new Geoboards.
Galaxy playdough is still a popular activity!
At the Construction Zone, we added artificial trees, rocks and small round wood pieces to use.
~OUTER SPACE~
This week we will finish our study of Outer Space. Today we read a book about Jupiter and learned that this planet is covered in gases; has more than 60 moons; and is the largest planet in the Solar System. After reading about Jupiter, we read the Outer Space version of "The Three Little Pigs". Be sure to ask your child about this story!
