WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY 5-14-14

ASK ME ABOUT...
...what I did in Spanish.
...what I did in Music.
...what I drew and wrote about during Writer's Workshop.
...how many days we've been in school.
...what we did to celebrate Zero the Hero Day!
...the story, A Butterfly Is Patient

LIFE CYCLE OF A BUTTERFLY~
As a follow-up to our lesson on symmetry, children had the opportunity to create symmetrical butterfly wings today using crayon shavings and a wax paper butterfly.

This was a WONDERFUL story about butterflies.  Be sure to ask your child why a butterfly is patient.  The book also mentions that a butterfly is spectacular.  Ask your child what spectacular means!
ZERO THE HERO!~
We celebrated our 160th day of school today and our last Zero the Hero day!  Harper's family, Walker's family and Willa's family provided us with a great activity--decorating our own Zero the Hero capes!  Thank you for helping us celebrate with a fun and memorable activity!
