PRE-K "GOODIES"~

 Today, children chose one of the decorated letters in our classroom and one other class project that we have completed during the school year to take home and keep! 

PRE-K ALPHABET MEMORY BOOK~

Today your child brought home his/her Pre-K Alphabet Memory Book.  This book is filled with photos, examples of your child's work and memories of Pre-K!

"CHARLOTTE'S WEB"~

Yesterday and today, we spent time watching "Charlotte's Web".  We read this book and watched the movie because it is about a life cycle.  At the end of the movie, several children commented that this was a life cycle story.  The children really liked this story!

OUTDOOR FREE CHOICE~

Our final day of Outdoor Week was GORGEOUS!!!!  We added another activity to do during Outdoor Free Choice.  Children could listen to the different sounds they heard outside and document them on a chart. 

 LIFE CYCLE OF A BUTTERFLY~

Ms. King visited our classroom today to share her knowledge of butterflies and moths with us.  She had some wonderful visuals/pictures to share with us, reinforcing what we have been learning about butterflies, along with some new information!

 LIFE CYCLE OF A BUTTERFLY~

We "transformed" ourselves into butterflies and moths this morning and headed out to a "butterfly garden" to drink "nectar" from a "proboscis".  Be sure to ask your child about this experience!

 

ICE CUBE MELTING EXPERIMENT~

We ended our morning with a fun ice cube melting experiment!  We sent home a copy of this simple, yet fun, experiment in your child's folder.  Be sure to ask your child all the different ways he/she used to try to melt his/her ice cube!  There were MANY giggles and squeals during this experiment!!

HANDWRITING~

We made it to number 10!  Children learned and practiced writing the number 10 today and then did a review page for all the numbers in their handwriting books.

 OUTDOOR FREE CHOICE~

We got a little sprinkled on during our outdoor Free Choice today but the rain did not ruin our learning and play!

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!~

Today we helped August celebrate his June birthday.  August's mom read the story, Two Bad Ants and then we ate Rice Krispie Treats for August's birthday snack.  Happy Birthday, August!
