HANDWRITING~
Today we worked on learning the correct way to write the letters H, T, and I. Be sure to ask your child about it!
ADDITION ACTIVITY~
We introduced a new addition activity at Math Magic today....
Children choose a drawer of objects....
...and an addition problem. On a recording sheet, children write or use stickers to indicate the numbers on the card they are adding together.
Next, children use the corresponding number of objects and put them in the clear containers pictured below.
Next, the objects from the clear containers are dumped into the "equals" container.
Finally, the child counts the number of objects in the "equals" container and records it.

Today we read 2 books about the planets to help us understand more about the characteristics of each planet. Here is some of the information we learned....
