"MOVING UP DAY"

Today we traveled down the hallway to meet the Kindergarten teachers and visit the Kindergarten classrooms.  The children enjoyed finding ways that the Kindergarten classrooms were the same/similar and different than our Pre-K classroom.  We're almost Kindergarteners!

  

LIFE CYCLE OF A BUTTERFLY~

Check out what came out of each chrysalis in our "butterfly garden"!  We now have 3 butterflies!  Needless to say, it was a VERY EXCITING day in Pre-K!  Be sure to ask your child why there are oranges in the "butterfly garden".

OUTDOOR WEEK~

We took advantage of the warm, dry, sunny weather we had today and enjoyed the outdoors!

 This was our hoola-hoop activity.  It required teamwork and cooperation!

 We did an ice cube melting experiment/activity--a little bit of math and a little bit of science.   Children would roll a die and follow the key below to try to get their ice cube to melt.  The children continued to roll a die until their ice cube melted.  There were many laughs and giggles during this activity! 

 We made sunprint pictures today, using a special kind of paper, various objects, and the sun.

OUTDOOR WEEK~

Since it is "Outdoor Week" for Pre-K, we spent our Free Choice time outside!  In addition to our playground, we rode bikes and scooters; played with bubbles; drew with sidewalk chalk; played in the sandbox; built with cardboard panels; ate snack;  and enjoyed being outside!!!!!!!

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY~

Today we celebrated Dominic's summer birthday a little early!  Dominic's mom read the story, The Bag I Take To Grandma's.  Then, we ate candy pizza for Dominic's birthday treat!  Happy Birthday, Dominic!
