WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY 10-24-12

PUMPKIN EXPERIMENT~

Our pumpkin experiment began with a discussion about characteristics about the outside of the pumpkin and then also about the inside of the pumpkin.  Next, we opened up the pumpkin and took a look inside.

We then explained that we were going to fill the pumpkin with soil.  Before we added the soil into the pumpkin, we made predictions about what would happen once the soil was added.  Listed below are the predictions.

CAMPFIRE REMINDER

Tomorrow is our day to go to the campfire--FINALLY!!  As a reminder......your child DOES NOT need to follow the school dress code tomorrow.  Please have your child wear clothes and shoes appropriate for "hiking" into the woods (boots, tennis shoes,  jeans, sweats, etc.).  We will leave our classroom at 9:50 to head to the campfire.

Children can practice reading the color words by matching the color word to the colored objects.

 HANDWRITING~
Today's handwriting lesson involved an activity about drawing a person using big lines, little lines, big curves, and little curves.  Ask your child to tell you about "Mat Man".
