WACKY WEDNESDAY 3-4-15

ASK ME ABOUT...
...what was wacky about the Morning Message.
...the moon journal.
...what was wacky about snack.
...what we did during Drama.
...what Dr. Seuss activities I did.
...what book Mrs. Arner read to us at the library.
...what book I checked out from the library.
...the book, There's A Wocket In My Pocket.
...remembering to return my "Book In A Bag" tomorrow.

Welcome to Wacky Wednesday!
Can you tell what is wacky about the Morning Message?!
Can you tell from Claire's milk mustache what color the milk was today?!

If they wanted, children could make a "cat in the hat" snack with red jello and cool whip.

 DR. SEUSS ACTIVITIES~
Today we discussed Dr. Seuss as an author, including how he wrote books that would be interesting to children and would encourage them to read.  Most of his books also include lots of rhymes.

We did some special "Dr. Seuss" activities, including....

...matching rhymes.

 ...a Dr. Seuss memory game.

...working on Dr. Seuss floor puzzles.

...a color by number page that when completed looks like....

 ...the Cat in the Hat!

 ...measuring with feet.

 ...creating rhyming words.

We ended our day with a Dr. Seuss story!

The children have been asking to play "Mr. Potato Head" (Hangman) so that was our special activity for today.
