Today we stopped by Pre-K "B" to visit our worms to observe what they have been doing in their "worm hotel". The strawberries we fed to them previously were gone which means the worms ate them.
Mrs. Terwin lifted off the top tray of the hotel so we could see what was happening.....
The photo below shows the "castings" (poop) from the worms. This will help to make some soil rich and fertile!
Today we discussed a butterfly's wings and how they are symmetrical. Using a plain, white butterfly, children took turns helping to make the wings symmetrical. During each child's turn, the teacher first placed a sticker on the butterfly. Using the same color and shape of sticker, the child would then place his/her sticker on the other side of the butterfly to make it look symmetrical.
