FREE CHOICE LEARNING~
Jon uses his spatial reasoning skills to fill the hexagon tray using trapezoid shapes.
Using fine motor skills and creativity with the Hexabits.
Emma does a new activity available at the Alphabet Station called, "Write The Room". Using a chart on a clipboard, children search the room for words to record on their chart.
YUMMY OR YUCKY?~
We did a yummy/yucky activity with foods that we may or may not have tried. Children had the opportunity to taste the following foods: avocado, yam, craisins, matzoh, and star fruit. After tasting each food, children indicated on a chart whether they thought each food was yucky or yummy. Be sure to ask your child to share his/her chart with you!
HANDWRITING~
In our handwriting books, we practiced the correct way to write the upper case letters, D, P, B, and R. Be sure to ask your child to show you what he/she learned.
RHYME TIME!~
We did a fun rhyming game today!
IS THERE LIFE IN OUTER SPACE?
During Free Choice time, children were asked to answer the following question, "Do you believe there are aliens living in Outer Space?". We read a story called, Is There Life In Outer Space? to help us answer this question. Then, each child drew a picture of what he/she thought a Space creature would look like.
