We enjoyed wearing our wacky outfits today and finding some wacky things happening in the classroom.....

NEW WORK STATIONS~
At Math Magic, children are completing an activity called "Target Number".  The activity allows children to discover various ways to add together 2 numbers and get the number 6.

At the Alphabet Station, children are working on rhyming words.   For each object pictured below, children draw a picture of an object that rhymes with it.
For the word bee, a child drew....
...a tree and labeled it using inventive spelling.

At the Writing Station, children write words on the correct frog from the Word Wall, from the Calendar, from our Color Words, and from our Popcorn Words.

At the Overhead Station, children work on a word search with Space words.

At the Creation Station, children are using watercolor paints to design/create their own planet.
At Games Galore, children are playing a game reinforcing letter sounds.
At the Discovery Station, children are creating a model of the Sun, the Earth, and the Moon to demonstrate the rotation of the Earth around the Sun and the Moon around the Earth.

 SPANISH~
To review the names of the shapes in Spanish, the children built rockets using shapes.  These are on display on the bulletin board outside of our classroom.
