100TH DAY OF SCHOOL!

Pre-K celebrated its 100th Day of School today!  During calendar time, we put up the number 100 and transformed 10 groups of 10 straws into 1 group of a hundred straws.

Using the counting mats pictured below, children made 10 groups of 10 with the 100 items
they brought in.

For snack, children counted 10 each of 10 different foods.  After all of that counting, they were able to eat this special 100th day snack.

Jon ate all 100 pieces of his snack!
During Free Choice time, children were asked to look at 3 same-size jars, each with different objects inside, and determine which of the jars had 100 items.  We ran out of time today to count the items in each jar.  Stay tuned!

LETTER SOUND /H/~
To remind the children of this week's letter sound, we gave each of them a HUGE HAPPY HEART!

Please have your child wear/bring in a hat to wear at school this Thursday!
