LILY PADS~
Today we showed the children the spaces on the bulletin board in the hallway opposite our classroom that are known as their "lily pads". Each child has his/her own lily pad and it is his/her decision as to what work should go on his/her lily pad. Children choose what they want to go on their lily pad and decide how long it stays up there.
At our "Games Galore" station, we introduced and added a new game...Teddy Bear Bingo. Children can visit this station during Free Choice time.
SOUND OF THE WEEK BOOKS~
Children learned how to make their own copy of our sound of the week book (Bubble Bear). We have been reading this story every day this week. Tomorrow, children will practice retelling the story with a peer. Then, they will bring home the book to keep and share with you.

Today we read the story, Mouse's Birthday, and talked about our own birthdays. Tomorrow, we will make a class birthday book.
We started work today in our handwriting workbooks. The task today was simple....teaching the correct crayon grasp.
