WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY 1-30-13

Be sure to ask your child what words we filled in on our morning message!

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!~
Today we celebrated Collier's half-birthday.  Collier's mom read the story, The Seven Chinese Sisters.  We then ate Drumsticks for Collier's birthday snack.  Happy Half-Birthday, Collier!
 NEW WORK STATIONS~
In the language activity pictured below, children clap the name of the picture to determine how many parts or syllables are in the word.

At the Creation Station, children are cutting out the letters of their first and last names from  newspaper and gluing them on to the paper below.

Using tangram pieces, children exercise their spatial reasoning skills!

At the Fine Motor Station, children practice their cutting skills!

At Math Magic, children measure objects with "inchworms" and record their answers.

At the Writing Station, children are completing another "Rainbow Words" book.

In the language activity pictured below, children match pictures or words that rhyme.
Children at the Alphabet Station work on the computers doing the RAZKIDS reading program.  As we explained before, children listen to and read stories and then answer questions about the story to work on reading comprehension.

At Games Galore, children play the game "Jungle Run" (similar to Chutes and Ladders).

In the math activity below, children complete the patterns.

Children listen to Winter stories at the Listening Station.
